I play a lot of older RPGs and adventure games and while they are great games they aren't as "popular" as a Call of have two words for you: DUMB ASS (okay. Now I'm worried that a lot of my games won't be given the Ok to appear on the list once they start rolling the games out. At leas they could have catalogued every single game and allowed us to vote for it by searching for them but no that would be too easy I suppose. Is that ridiculously tiny number supposed to be convincing to Rockstar to want to bring to the xbox one? I find this process frustrating and lazy on Microsoft's part. The most popular game on the list have 15k votes and is Red Dead Redemption. I am really getting angry now at this backwards compatibility now that Microsoft raised our hopes and basically are leaving it up to millions upon millions of people to go to their website and vote for all of their titles.

On top of it, some of the games I own don't even have a vote registered yet, so you can't search for them and it isn't very clear on how to be the first to submit a game that doesn't appear in the list. I have literally spent the last hour or more just up voting every single game whether I own them or not and I only got through like 40 pages. I'm a little pissed off that I have to go and vote for every game I want to see come to the Xbox One. It actually did hurt to think I will never play Arkham Knight, but with this reveal.only thing that was missing was a title card saying somethig like "NOW THIS IS FOR THE PLAYERS!!!" Don't need to be so humble MS, after all your fans have swallowed, you could have rubbed it in their face a little -)īut all in all: Well played Phil Spencer and Microsoft, well played! If they really add more games to this programm, games I actually care about (and if they work just as good as on the 360, splitscreen-, multiplayer- and DLC-wise), then I will buy a One, simple as that. I short: I never really once thought about buying a One.īut now everything has changed. They look and feel awesome as they are right now! Do I have room for another console in my living room? I do, but I like things nice and tidy, one console is enough. Would I buy remastered versions of these games? Hell no. I'll give you an example, me and my gf play Horde on GoW 2 or 3 every week (and will until they shut down the servers), I play a good amount of Red Dead Redemption every month or so, and love to visit Arkham City once in a while, just in free-roam to kick some serious butt. "Hundreds more every month" - After the program goes live in the fall, Microsoft has stated it will be bringing hundreds of new Xbox 360 titles on board every - because there are games that are "classics" or simply fun to play.

It is unclear if more titles will be added to the preview program in the months leading up to its full release, but I think that would be a safe assumption, especially considering the full launch in the fall is planned for 100+ titles. They are as follows: A Kingdom for Keflings, A World of Keflings, Alien Hominid HD, Banjo Kazooie: Nuts n Bolts, Banjo-Kazooie, Banjo-Tooie, BattleBlock Theater, Defense Grid, Geometry Wars Evolved, Hexic HD, Jetpac Refuelled, Kameo, Mass Effect, Perfect Dark, Perfect Dark Zero, Small Arms, Super Meat Boy, Toy Soldiers, Toy Soldiers: Cold War, Viva Piñata, Viva Piñata: Trouble in Paradise. However, only 21 titles are currently available. Now available to preview program users - Backward compatibility is now live for Xbox One preview program users. No extra cost - Backward compatibility on Xbox One will be a standard feature when it launches this fall. So how exactly does it all work? Well, I'll tell you! The announcement comes with a few caveats, however. The developers still have to take note and opt-in, but this is the purest way for the gamers to ask for that to happen.Įarlier today, Microsoft effectively dropped the mic on the console war and announced that the Xbox One will be backward compatible with Xbox 360, allowing owners to play last-gen games directly on the current-gen console. Click here to vote for your favorites to be enabled on Xbox One. It has also come to my attention that the Xbox Feedback site has opened voting for every game available on Xbox 360. Obviously via his wording, it will be coming eventually, but the big question is when. I asked Mike Ybarra on Twitter if DLC was available and he responded simply, "Not yet." I followed it up and asked when it might be implemented, but he has not responded at this time.

This morning I wanted to test this out, so I installed Mass Effect and could not find a way to install the DLC I owned.
